Spring is a symbol of a fresh start, which makes it the perfect time of year to give your car a deep clean. Here, we outline our tips for spring cleaning your car to get it nice and clean for warmer weather.
Wash and wax the exterior. Get rid of the salt and grime leftover from winter weather by giving your car’s exterior a wash. Once it is spic and span, then add a layer of wax to keep your car’s paint in tip-top condition.
Clean out and organize the glove box. Take everything out of your glove box and organize it so you know the exact location of all the important paperwork you might need. A glove box can also be a catch-all for random pieces of trash, so make sure to get rid of that, too.
Pay attention to the upholstery. Winter can be rough on the inside of your vehicle, too. Give your upholstery a good vacuuming, including your car mats. Don’t forget to wash the plastic parts of your seats, too.
Give the dashboard a scrub. Use a wet cloth and wipe away the gunk and dirt that has accumulated on the dashboard over the course of the winter. Make sure you include your cupholders and the center console in this cleaning to keep your vehicle looking fresh.
